Welcome to Searchanise release notes! This time we've got updates for our Shopify & WooCommerce customers. Let's skip the long intro and dive into what's new:

Shopify

Automatically adjust the search widgets to the design of your store

We've recently added a brand-new feature – Auto Theme Detector. If you install Searchanise in a new store, the app will use machine learning algorithms to analyze your store's design and then adjust the look and feel of search widgets to match your theme. This feature will save you time on fine-tuning the widgets' appearance.

You'll be able to first preview changes (Preview theme button) and then keep or dismiss them:

How to preview new design
Soon we're planning to make this feature available for all our clients, not just for the new ones. You'll be able to run Auto Theme Detector in your store any time you want. It can be particularly useful if you've switched to a new theme and want our widgets to adjust automatically.

Please note that Auto Theme Detector cannot analyze stores that are protected by a password.

Set up the main product image in option swatches

You'll now have more power over product images in options swatches. You can either choose to display the product image of the preselected variant in the Search Results Widget or display the main product image by default. In this case, the main image will change to the variant one when your customer switches option swatches.

Go to the Searchanise control panel to set up product images in option swatches!

    Integration with Vendy Theme

We're now integrated with Vendy Theme, which means our widgets are fully compatible with it. So if you're using Vendy Theme or planning to switch to it, the integration will ensure the seamless performance of site search in your store.

We're also planning to integrate with more themes soon.

Compatibility with Year, Make, Model apps

Searchanise is now compatible with Year, Make, Model apps that use collections and product tags. If your customers search for a specific vehicle, they will be redirected to a collection page with our filters where the shoppers will be able to further narrow down results and instantly find the accessories for their vehicles. Check out our help article to learn how to do it.

Please note that the Filters on Collections feature powered by Searchanise should be enabled. Go to the Searchanise control panel and turn on filters on collections to improve navigation and user experience.

    Images flip on hover

We've added a new feature, Flip images on hover. When a shopper hovers his or her mouse pointer over the product card in search results, the product image changes. Displaying additional product images makes the search results page more dynamic and adds additional exposure to the product.

This feature is enabled by default, so you don't have to turn it on.

    What's coming next

    Until next time!
