We've rolled out two updates to Searchanise Search & Filter for Shopify, designed to enhance the global shopping experience and simplify your backend management. Let's explore what's new!

Shopify Markets Catalog Support

Build on the language and currency support you already use — now with product availability synced to Shopify Markets catalogs. Search results automatically adapt products, pricing, and availability based on each shopper’s location. Deliver more relevant results, improve international conversion rates, and reduce friction for cross-border customers.

Key Benefits

Location-Aware Search: Show shoppers only the products available in their region for a seamless, relevant experience.

No More 404s: Prevent dead ends by displaying only purchasable products, reducing frustration and lost sales.

How It Works in Practice

Scenario 1: Domain-Specific Search
A Canadian customer visiting your shop.ca domain searches for "women's boots." They'll only see boots available for purchase in Canada, ensuring every search result leads to products they can actually buy.

Scenario 2: Market-Filtered Collections
You create a "Summer Products" collection with items available in multiple markets, but some products are exclusive to Australia. When a French customer views this collection on shop.fr and applies filters, they'll only see summer products available in the French market — no confusion, no dead ends.

❗️Important info: Product availability is currently tracked only at the global level. Market-specific stock tracking is under development.

Configuration

Shopify Markets catalog support is enabled by default to provide the best customer experience across all your markets. If your store setup requires it, you can disable this feature in Search & Navigation > Preferences > Products > Shopify Markets.

Improved Metafields & Metaobjects Interface

Managing metafields for search and filtering is now more intuitive.

What's new:
Quick Overview – See all enabled metafields at a glance, including how they're applied (Search, Filter, or both), so you always know what's active in your store.

Streamlined Addition – Add new metafields to search or filters with just a few clicks, helping customers find products faster by attributes like Material, Dimensions, or any custom field.

Easy Editing – Quickly adjust metafield settings if they're configured incorrectly, minimizing downtime and ensuring accurate search results.

Simple Removal – Remove deprecated or unnecessary metafields from search and filters to keep your interface clean and relevant.

This enhancement makes maintaining your search and filter functionality more efficient, reducing setup time and helping you adapt quickly to changing product catalogs.

Configuration

Go to the Search & Navigation > Preferences > Metafields & Metaobjects to view, add, edit or remove metafields or metaobjects.
