Installing a new search app usually means a styling detour. Before your shoppers ever see the new search experience, you're digging through your theme's color palette, copying hex codes, and manually adjusting widget colors one field at a time — all to make the new app look like it belongs in your store rather than dropped into it.

The AI Design Analyzer eliminates that step. When you install Searchanise Search & Filter on your Shopify store, it reads your store's CSS and surfaces the colors your theme already uses — no manual lookup required. The suggestions are available for the first 14 days after installation, so it's worth checking them early.

What AI Design Analyzer Does

Powered by Google Gemini, the analyzer scans your Shopify theme's CSS files on installation and detects six color values that control how your search widgets look: product title, regular price, crossed-out original price, sale price, button text, and button background. Those are the exact parameters a shopper sees every time they interact with search results or the instant search widget.

Once detected, the colors appear in a preview panel inside the app. You choose which ones to apply — all of them, some, or none — and the settings take effect across both the Instant Search and Search Results widgets at once.

How to Use It

The suggested styles are waiting for you on your Dashboard, or under Search & Navigation in the Instant Search or Search Results widget's Template & Style tab. Click Show styles, review the detected colors, and hit Apply selected. That's the full workflow. For the detailed walkthrough, see the AI Design Analyzer help article.

Getting the Most from AI Design Analyzer

Apply the detected colors as a starting point, not a final answer. The analyzer gives you a brand-accurate baseline; the fine-tuning from there is easier when you're not also chasing down hex codes.
Check the sale price and crossed-out price colors specifically. These are the values most likely to look off-brand if left at default, and they're the ones shoppers notice first when browsing discounted products.
Use it right after the installation. Style detection runs once, immediately after you install the app, and the results are available for 14 days. If you dismiss the prompt and come back to it later, you'll need to work from the manual color picker instead.
